Fred Pinel reinterprets French luxury. Pinel knows how to get the best out of the finest materials, bringing true meaning to the word “bespoke”. Hand-crafted in the French luxury tradition, Pinel’s exclusive multi-function trunk collection a reinterpretation of the 1930s steamer trunks, following the same idea as the Louis XVI secretaries with their secret drawers are ultra-contemporary, combining the latest technologies with carefully-selected premium materials such as crocodile, shagreen, and full-grain leather.
Both, master craftsman and designer, Fred Pinel personally oversees all stages of manufacturing in order to ensure that every last detail meets his exact standards. Pinel&Pinel was founded in 1998, at first offering luxurious items for the smoker, and soon expanding its collections to include a number of fashion accessories always masterfully hand-crafted using the finest materials and never traditional. Indeed, Pinel’s designs always include a touch of humour, such as his dog collar, which is also available as a women’s bracelet. Pinel also stands out for his highly sophisticated use of colour; today a hallmark of the brand.
Pinel’s wanderlust-inspired designs are made for today’s lifestyle and alternative travel trends, such as the i-trunk, which includes a fully-equipped functional office; the Krug Trunk, the ultimate in luxury for eccentric picnickers; or the Bike Trunk, an understated bicycle case.
Sold in trendy high-end stores like Colette and le Royce (Paris), Victoire and Harrods (London), and Lane Crawford (Hong Kong), all of Pinel’s designs are made-to-order. In January 2007, Pinel&Pinel moved in to a 600-square-meter former biscuit factory at the foot of Paris’ Montmartre.
