Exceptional trunks at the hotel Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay
Pinel et Pinel collaborated with the Paris Society group, unveiling its new vision of hospitality with the opening of the Abbaye des Vaux-de-Cernay, an exceptional countryside hotel less than an hour from Paris.
In a sophisticated setting entirely imagined by Cordélia de Castellane, Pinel et Pinel adorned the hotel bar with two majestic trunks that seamlessly integrate into the warm atmosphere of the hotel.
A Cigar Trunk, capable of holding 1400 cigars, stands opposite an impressive Cognac Trunk designed for showcasing luxurious bottles of Hennessy's elixir and essential accessories for its service.
AIR Jordan TRUNK - Just 23
Auctioned by Artcurial in 2006
Michael Jordan entrusted Fred Pinel to create a trunk to house his 23 pairs of Air Jordans. The Just 23 trunk, sold at auction for €57,000 by Artcurial, showcases Pinel & Pinel creations in the art market. The proceeds were donated to the "Make a Wish" and "Babac'ards" associations.
This over 2-meter tall trunk is completely lined with red leather on the inside and black leather on the outside, accentuated by two enamel "Jumpman" logos in contrasting tones. It features a 32-inch flat screen integrated within, allowing the sole owner to relive the greatest moments of the global basketball icon through collector's DVDs, as well as watch the complete collection of Jordan's iconic advertisements, including the legendary series with Spike Lee.
Krug Picnic Trunk

In 2005, the prestigious Maison Krug enlisted the expertise of Fred Pinel to create and craft an exclusive picnic trunk. The production of this trunk required 700 hours of meticulous work to achieve perfection.

Covered in premium full-grain young cow leather, this trunk features solid nickel-plated brass hardware. The door unhinges to transform into a table, adding functionality to its exquisite design. A true masterpiece, this trunk is a contemporary bespoke cabinet designed and crafted to house Christofle's best-selling "Malmaison" service.
Featuring 273 Empire-style silverware pieces adorned with flowers, palmettes, and eagle heads, this service is designed for a table of twelve, including salad forks, consuming spoons, a bread basket, sugar ladle, votives, and more—accessories that evoke dreams of grandeur. The exterior and interior of the trunk are adorned with the finest calf leather sourced from top-notch farms, selected for their exceptional quality. Fred Pinel has created this unique trunk as a tribute to the famous architect and designer Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
This ultra-luxurious trunk combines all the elements for a relaxing and comfortable experience within a remarkably compact space. The perfect balance between the sophistication of crocodile leather and the understated elegance of smooth and supple calf leather gives this furniture piece an incredible sense of refinement. Concealed within its drawers are all the essential accessories for creating a cozy retreat: whiskey flasks, a vanity mirror, a cashmere blanket, an induction charger, and a USB port. On the right side, there is a magazine and book holder. The trunk is equipped with wheels, and all metal parts are plated in rose gold.
When opened, its dimensions are 140cm x 85cm x 80cm.

Renowned creators Fred Pinel and Nicolas Cloiseau (Chef of La Maison du Chocolat) have joined forces to create an exceptional chocolate tasting trunk.
This trunk is a bespoke project crafted as a unique masterpiece. It is entirely covered on the exterior with full-grain textured blue calfskin leather, while the interior features yellow full-grain textured calfskin leather. The hinges, clasps, and buttons are made of solid brass with a palladium finish. The trunk conceals numerous accessories from renowned French artisans known for their excellent craftsmanship, including plates from Manufacture Jaune de Chrome, crystal goblets from Maison Baccarat, knives from Maison Perceval, forks from Maison Ercuis, napkins from Maison Garnier Thiebault, brushes from Maison Raphaël, Moleskine notebooks, and special edition BIC pens. Additionally, it contains two boxes of 64-piece chocolates.
